New England Street Outlaw Series Announces Payout Structure for August 15th Event at Thompson

As excitement grows for second NESOS event so are the payouts for all classes

New England Street Outlaw Series

Gales Ferry, CT (August 6, 2015) The NESOS is happy to announce $1,200 in total cash payouts for the August 15th Thompson Speedway 250’ Drag Racing Event. Payouts will be available for winners and runner up finishers among all three classes of racing including the Competition Class, Street Class and Bike Class.

At the first event on July 18th Gary Bingham, a local drag racing enthusiast approached NESOS wanting to help the racers by offering a cash payout to the winners. At nights end the winners were surprised and thrilled about the payout. Following the event Bingham was looking to do more for the next one and other drag racing enthusiasts soon wanted to jump on board including Horsepower Farm.

Initially announced on Facebook by the NESOS last week as an $800 payout other local drag racing enthusiasts have offered to support the NESOS build off a great first event by further contributing to the payouts. Spearheaded by Gary Bingham the total $1,200 payout has been made possible by Horsepower Farm, Caplet’s Heavy Equipment Repair LLC and R&G Sealcoating. “We are really excited to have some great drag racing enthusiasts come together to support the racers. Our hope is that it will increase attention among those who missed our first event to come out and race next Saturday” stated NESOS Promoter Mark Caise.  “We can’t thank these guys enough for what they are doing to help keep drag racing running strong in this area and we are lucky to have them involved with us at the NESOS.”

  • Competition Class Winner $400
  • Competition Class Runner Up $150
  • Street Class Winner $250
  • Street Class Runner Up $100
  • Bike Class Winner $200
  • Bike Class Runner Up $100

Online Pre-Registration is now available at for this event. Online Event Pre-Registration is encouraged to be used by all racers and allows you quick Express Entry with bypassing the regular registration line. Event T-Shirts are also available, you can pre-order now online and pick up at the August 15th event so we don’t run out of your size or you can purchase at the August 15th event. T-Shirt sales help to fund the NESOS with new equipment, equipment upkeep and other various expenses that help keep the NESOS racing strong. Limited quantities and sizes will be available.

Saturday, August 15th will be the next NESOS event at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Registration and Pit Area Load-in will begin at 4pm. Test & Tune will begin approximately 5:30pm. Test & Tune will be followed by a brief intermission and then roll into single round eliminations with $1,200 in cash prizes on the line.

The New England Street Outlaw Series is based in New England and features exciting spectator drag racing events at various regional venues. From asphalt to dirt, from 100 feet to 1/8 mile strip the NESOS can handle any size venue with its temporary electronic track system complete with sensors and a professional drag racing tree. Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park

Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park is one of the oldest continuously operating motorsports facilities in the country, with 2015 marking its 75th anniversary. It provides a wide range of facilities for drivers and automotive enthusiasts including NASCAR racing on its 5/8 mile paved oval, a 1/10 mile quarter midget track, the recently re-opened 1.7 mile road course, the Clubhouse restaurant with catering and banquet facilities, as well an 18-hole championship golf course.
